John Beale, who was the EPA's highest-paid employee and a leading expert on climate change since 2000, was sentence to 32 months in federal prison this morning.
He had lied to his bosses, telling them he was a CIA spy working in Pakistan so he could avoid doing his real job.
He also has to repay the $1.3 million in pay he received while he stayed home. He says that he just didn't want to work.
