On Sunday, December 29, 2013 at around 1:30 PM Justin Bristow (42) of Dorrington was driving his 2003 Honda Shadow motorcycle west on Hwy 4 at a stated speed of 40 MPH.
Michele Hocket (44) of Hathaway Pines was driving a 1980 Jeep Wrangler and at a complete stop at the intersection of Meadowview Road ahead of Mr. Bristow.
Hocket was waiting for traffic to clear to make a left turn onto Meadowmont Road. Bristow failed to stop behind the Jeep and struck the rear.
Mr. Bristow was flown to Modesto Memorial Hospital with major injuries. Hocket was not injured.
