Op-Ed....Calaveras Planning Commissioner Allured admits failure and incompetence?

At the end of the public hearing on the recreational vehicle storage facility near Forest Meadows earlier this week, Calaveras County Planning Commissioner Ted Allured started talking, trying to say that they are really
wonderful Planning Commissioners and not totally against projects.

But he wandered off into the fact that they have been criticized heartily for over a year for their poor decision-making, not to mention their incompetence and corruption.

He started talking about how everyone says they are anti-job and anti-growth and anti-planning of any kind, bringing up the Poole Station road project of Sam Mosby.

Allured couldn't keep his mouth shut and said that it was a wonderful project and that the only reason they had voted it down was because of the law.

Now everyone knows that Ted Allured is so full of **** and doesn't even know that Planning is all opinion, determined by whoever is looking at it. and all politics; whatever the Supervisor for that district wants.

Calaveras Supervisor Edson is so against growth, jobs and businesses (except for his restaurant) that he got the Planning Commission to squash Mosby's wonderful project.

Most say that Edson is one of the worst Supervisors ever in Calaveras and Supervisor Ponte, who was afraid to vote against her rancher friends Tiscornia and Rader is just as bad.

Planning is all discretionary and is most often determined by politics, just as Mosby's was. And we wonder why Calaveras County is considered to be one of the most corrupt in the state of California!

07-242, toad ordinance, the laws that killed Mosby's project. Politics brought both those laws into play. Maybe it was Tryon's agenda? Callaway will never sell out her dear friend.
