Calaveras County Building Department head Jeff White has announced he is leaving the county job, amidst the Butte Fire disaster.
It did seem that White had some problems with the pressure he was under to handle the Butte Fire endless problems, which will continue for some time. The Calaveras Supervisors are meeting in Closed Session on December 8, 2015 to discuss his replacement.

He won't leave before the pay raise is negotiated and put in place.
The negotiated pay raise will provide him with an increase in his retirement benefit.
