San Andreas man arrested twice in one day: UPDATE

UPDATE:  We are re-running this report to be fair to Mr. Townsend, who has written a comment regarding the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office, at that time run by Sheriff Gary Kuntz.

Wayne Eric Townsend, (51) of San Andreas was arrested the first time on December 29, 2013 by Calaveras Sheriff deputies at the Sierra Super Stop in San Andreas for alleged Disorderly conduct

Townsend was booked into the Calaveras County Jail and released with a citation.

Then Townsend was arrested again at around 6 PM at CalWorks in San Andreas for alleged Violation of Parole, Carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon other than a firearm, all felonies.

In addition at that time, Townsend was arrested for alleged Battery on a Peace officer in an emergency, Obstructing or Resisting a Peace Officer and Disorderly Conduct due to Alcohol, all misdemeanors.

One would think, those who build jails know what they are doing? OOOpppss, forgot the words change orders.
If only the new jail was open and a complete cadre of staff was afforded. Why we could lock em up and keep them locked up, until the overflow caused the old jail being brought out of moth balls. Who is responsible for this fiasco?

Which deputy are you? You made the mistake of writing "
We"would lock them up,therefore identifying yourself. Are your undercover officers as gifted?

I am Wayne Townsend. Please know that almost every word the officer wrote in his report was false. As most of my arrests have been based on false reports. Many times I have been accused of being "drunk in public", when the truth is I was no where near drunk. Most of those tomes it was this same arresting officer. In the report he has also added other falsely accused crimes. To make the charges even worse. I must question why? Was it to scare the public into building the new jail? Look at the first post, which refers to the "need " for the new jail. What this officer failed to consider is that when the last two times he has arrested me for "drunk in public ", I have been wearing an ankle monitor which actually records the alcohol levels in my system. These factual records show levels far below the level for even drunk driving. Surely too low for drunk walking. Ha! Yes, my day will come. If I am not compensated, at least maybe this newspaper will print the truths. And I will gain the respect I deserve. As in one instance I was walking home after discussing the death of my wife with my step son, and having had one beer. Yes, one beer. In his report the officer wrote that my gait was unsteady and my speech slurred. I said not one word to him, figuring why bother. He even falsely accused me of urinating in the street. All lies, to make me seem like the "scum " some now refer to me as here. Watch and wait. I will be filing my own reports with higher authorities.
