CHP reports that on February 23, 2016 around 1:50 AM that Michelle Pingree was driving her 1995 Honda Del Sol southbound on Hwy 49 south of Parrotts Ferry Road in Columbia.
Ms. Pingree allowed the Honda to travel off the west road edge, where the front of the vehicle collided with a concrete retaining wall.
The force of the collision caused the Honda to rotate in a clockwise direction approximately 90 degrees.
The Honda came to rest partially blocking the southbound lane of Hwy 49. Pingree was subsequently arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and due to her injuries sustained the the collision, she was released to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment.
