Karl Holger Karlsen, who had saved his two
small children, took the insurance money and moved to New York state soon after.
Then his and Christina's son Levi died when a jack collapsed that was holding up a truck. His father collected insurance money again, but this time authorities caught up to him and he was charged with the son's alleged murder.
Fortunately, a CalFire investigator had kept all the files from the original fire and he has been charged with the alleged murder of his wife for financial gain. He is back in the Calaveras County Jail, thanks to that investigator, Carl Kent.
