Loss of Control causes Hwy 4 crash

   According to CHP on March 6, 2016 Robert A Harrison IV (28) of Santa Cruz was driving a 2004 Toyota eastbound on Hwy 4 west of Black Springs Road at 25 MPH.

   Mark Robert Vigeant (57) of Granite Bay was driving a 2005 Honda westbound on Hwy 4 approaching Harrison's location at 25-30 MPH.

    Vigeant lost control of the Honda and applied the brakes, then entered the westbound lane into the Toyota's path.

    The right side of the Honda struck the front of the Toyota. Both vehicles came to a stop north of Hwy 4.

    Vigeant was taken to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries. Harrison refused medical attention.

   Jay Lilley (33) of Murphys, a passenger of Harrison's, was taken to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries.

   Theodore R. Wood IV (30), also a passenger of Harrison's, of Murphys refused medical attention.

   Per CHP alcohol and or drugs were not a factor in this collision.
