Major Injuries and arrest in Hwy 49 crash

    According to a CHP report on March 12, 2016 around 1:30 AM Douglas Crichton (50) of Williston, North Dakota was driving a 2004 KIA Rio on Hwy 49 south of Redhill Road near Carson Hill at an unknown rate of speed.

   The officer says that due to his level of intoxication, Crichton made an unsafe turning movement and lost control of his vehicle.

   The KIA left the roadway and rolled over, coming to rest on its roof.  Crichton sustained major injuries as a result of this collision and was transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center.

   Alcohol is considered a factor in this collision and Crichton was arrested for alleged DUI.
