If you've ever seen the report on Jack Johnson, a famous black boxing champion in the early 1900's, you remember that the man who faced him was referred to as the "Great White Hope" by racists of the timeof boxing.
Johnson faced unbelievable abuse, discrimination and was even charged with violation of the Mann Act regarding blacks and whites mixing. Who would you say is the "Great White Hope" of the racists today???
