Traffic collision on Hwy 49

   UPDATE per CHP: The vehicle was a 2006 Jayco Motorhome and was pulling a Ford Ranger behind.

  Per the CHP report Jerold David Gritz (78) of Sonora was driving and his wife JoAnn Gritz (74) of Sonora was the passenger when he allowed one wheel to go off the pavement.

   He overcorrected and the vehicles overturned and went down the embankment on the other side of Hwy 49.

UPDATE:  Per the fire department this are no injuries. CHP is at the scene.

   March 21, 2016 at 12:45 PM:  A rollover traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 49 between San Andreas and Angels Camp.

   One vehicle has gone over the embankment. CHP and other emergency vehicles are responding to the scene. Be extra careful if in that area.
