Again on May 19, 2016 the Calaveras Sheriff received complaints of people trying to gather signatures against cannabis.
In Copperopolis on Obyrnes Ferry Road a battery was reported near Copper Cove Drive involving a petition pusher! What kind of people are these?? We can tell about some of them, anyway.

The other group who are petitioning to get signatures for the regulation of cannabis were very friendly and helpful when asked about details. Not pushy or forceful, just kind and informative. After I signed one young man stated he thought they already had far more then the 1571 needed for the ballot
Looks like Mcanus is getting even more of a bad name. I hear they are paying so much a signature to some scumbags. that's why they are actually battering people.

When I signed the PRO regulation, the young man was clean shaved, well spoken and helpful. The other side wanting a ban may have hired bad people who try and force others to see it their way? Major turn off when harassed by someone at the grocery store or wherever. The initiative speaks for itself, no need to push for regulation because it just makes sense
That's true. Banning cannabis is just like Prohibition of alcohol; and we know that caused all kinds of crime. Legalize it, regulate it ant tax it! Proud to live in a pro-cannabis county.

I just saw an ad on CNN for Calaveras Cannabis control. Is that the petition for regulation and to ban new farms until 2018> That must have cost some money.
