Finally, the Calaveras Sheriff's Office has identified the black gun-like object that had a laser light on the end of it.
It was apparently an air rifle, but officers say they could not tell the difference. They thought it was an assault rifle and shot John James Corrigan immediately.
Do not allow your children to play with guns in Calaveras County! They will likely be shot and killed by deputies riding in an armored BEARCAT!!
We are turning in someone we know uses an AIR rifle in a residential neighborhood. Hopefully they will know what to do with him immediately.
