On July 9, 2018 the Calaveras Sheriff's Office arrested Carey Morgan Schwartz (34) of Vallecito at the Murphys
Chevron Gas Station.
Schwartz was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Carrying a Loaded Firearm, not the Registered Owner and Willful Cruelty to a Child, both felonies.
Also arrested was Corbett Fanen Winkler (44) of Vallecito at the same time and location.
Winkler was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Carrying a Loaded Firearm/not being the registered owner, Willful Cruelty to a Child and Forging or Altering Vehicle Registration, all felonies and Driving without a License, a misdemeanor.
