Multiple fire engines, crews and a helicopter are battling a fire in Avery. It is in that patch of deadpines that have been sitting there for some time between Avery Middle School and Hwy 4.
The Calaveras Sheriff's Office is stopping traffic. A bulldozer just arrived. Avoid the area if possible.
