Should religion be a part of politics and government?

  On NPR this morning (my dog loves to listen to it) they were talking about whether or not any certain religions
or if all religions should be a part of our political and or government structure.

   Every religious person had a different idea about this, and only wanted THEIR religion to be a part of or control government.

   The only people with good sense were those who were not religious. They stated religions of ALL
types should be banned from government.  We agree! It can only destroy us, like it did England!
