OP ED: What to do about Calaveras CAO?

A lengthy and  seemingly somewhat improper discussion took place at the end of the October 22,
2019 Calaveras Supervisor meeting.

Mills wanted a poll of the Board to call out the CAO, Al Alt, who is still in the hospital after a physical altercation in a Valley Springs bar.

County Counsel warned the Board that they need to discuss this in closed session and not to single out the CAO, who is now under suspicion from some of the elected officials.

It was decided not to hold a Special Meeting, but to ask for a 6 month review of the CAO's performance.

Not sure if this is appropriate, but some members of the audience also made negative comments about Alt.

It was also decided to speak to Alt and find out what his physical status is and how long he might night be able to work.

Calaveras County does have problems in the CAO department, doesn't it?

Thank you again Merita you sure know how to pick and endorse convicted felons that have no business being in office. But focus on the weed barons and not the White Pines bridge. Get your priorities straight or leave the board and take Alt with you!
