Calaveras Supervisors discuss enforcement of state mandates on COVID

On July 28, 2020 the Health Department's Dr. Kelaita has suggested and Supervisor Garamendi agrees
that businesses in Calaveras could be causing the spread of the COVID in the county.

Supervisor Stopper challenged that idea, stating that the Dr. had just announced that 2/3 of the cases came from outside the county, not from businesses.

We do not believe that there are 3 votes to pass a county law regarding businesses in Calaveras, and that the Sheriff has said he will not enforce the existing state laws.
