As of this morning, Frank Bigelow had not yet received a call from Rico Oller, conceding the race for Assembly District 5.
There was an e-mail sent to the campaign, full of excuses and accusations, but no personal phone call to a fellow Republican. We understand that you are "deeply disappointed" Oller, but common courtesy is in order, and a phone call.
Bigelow's staff indicated that staffers had spoken with Oller's staff, but in actuality it was just that e-mail from one campaign staffer to another. Oller had not yet made a personal call to Assemblyman Bigelow, according to the Bigelow campaign.
Both moderate Republicans, tired of the gridlock and Democrats joined together to win this Assembly seat, representing Calaveras County, all of us.
