Thomas "Tom" William Brown of Mountain Ranch

   January 6, 1947 - October 31, 2012

On October 31, 2012, our beloved Friend, Father, Grandfather and Husband, Thomas William Brown lost his 4 year long battle with cancer.

Tom was a resident of the close-knit community of Mountain Ranch for the past 14 years, where he made many great friendships.

He was a member of the Home Winemakers Association, and produced many award winning wines within the association, as well as for County and State Fairs.

He was a trusted father and friend to his son Brent and his wife Terri, who cherished the time spent with Tom, and a wonderful grandfather to Ryan, Jack and Samantha who loved to go fishing and spend time with their "Poppy".''

He was the love of his wife Janes' life, taking care of her and his dog Sutter.

Tom loved making wine, was an avid 49ers fan, and was very occupied with his pond and fishing.

He maintained close relationships with his childhood friends and his cousin Gary throughout his life.

He was a very loyal and sentimental person and valued in his community.

Before coming to Mountain Ranch, Tom and Jane resided in Corte Madera and Tom worked for the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees Local # 16 as a video technician from 1967 - 2002, when he fully retired.

During his career he worked on a variety of high profile productions including touring with Pink Floyd "The Wall", Democratic and Republican Conventions and Steve Job's MAC World convention at the Moscone Center.   He was very well respected in his profession.

Jane and Tom spent much of their spare time at Lake Berryessa , where they also made deep lasting friendships.

Tom will be forever missed by his wife Jane, son Brent (Terri), grandchildren Ryan Thomas 14, Jack Thomas 9, and Samantha 7.

Friends and family will be having a potluck gathering to celebrate Tom's life:

December 1, 2012  from 1 to 5 PM at Loree and Doug Joses

Please bring an hors d'oeurve to share and a fond memory you have of Tom.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Hospice of Amador and Calaveras County 1500 South Hwy 49, Suite 205, Jackson, California 95642 or to your favorite charity.
