Why Joe Scarborough Lost the Election Bet

Nate Silver, official statistician for the New York Times, came back on Morning Joe this morning to explain to Joe Scarborough, Republican, why he lost the bet they made.

Silver said that the Republican Pollsters weren't being evil Partisans so much as they were unaware of the demographics, especially the youth.

They took phone polls, and 1/3 of the population, namely the young, use cell phones exclusively, and were simply not a part of their polls.

Scarborough had adamantly told Silver he was very wrong a month ago when Silver told him their polls showed the President winning.

We aren't sure what bet they made, but Scarborough lost a lot of bets this election. Silver says he is already looking towards the next election, only 3 years and 11 months away.

Scarborough doesn't like to lose either.
