Let the Bull Ride Begin

Which end of the bull will run
the County this year?
As of Today, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 9 AM, the Calaveras Board of Supervisors begins a new year, with four rookie Supervisors, three of them brand new, to be sworn in.

Without a CAO (was Boyce a smart lady to retire, or what?), there should be lots of fun in store for all the press and those regular attendees and viewers.

Supervisor Callaway will be the Board Chair. She will not only have to help teach the newly elected Supervisors of Districts 1, 2, and 4, but keep the District 5 Supervisor (Spellman) reined in and under some control (he will be Vice-Chair).

The Sentinel foresees sparks, confusion, stupidity, and total enjoyment in watching THIS Board at work.

Ms. Callaway has to be nominated, 3 votes to be chair. Maybe another will step up with a nomination and votes. Wouldn't that be something to watch. Why does the chair receive an additional $1,000 a month for being chair? Can someone explain that?
