What do you think happens when the Sierra Sentinel makes a Freedom of Information Request for Gun Permit holders from the Sheriff in Calaveras County?
Stay tuned! You will find it hard to believe.
If you take out a building permit in this County, no problem with gun holders getting all the information;
But request the same public information about gun permit holders; omg, you'd think the county sheriff's department had been invaded by martians!
We will tell you! 13 days since the request and counting. Wait til you hear this story!!!

I believe he wants to be a good sheriff, but there are bad people that he is afraid to upset.
Do you mean because of his next election?

Depending on how you wrote the request, you could be advised it will cost you money for copies of the information. Are you ready to pay up?
I, too, believe in the Freedom of Information Act. Should you purchase the copied information, use it wisely.
