At 6:30 AM on May 5, 2013, Cal Fire reported that a fire of of Hwy 243, south of Banning and north of Pine Cove is now 650 acres and 30% contained.
Called the Gorgonio Fire, 566 firefighters, 41 engine companies, 2 helicopters and 7 air tankers are battling this blaze. No evacuations are in place at this time.
