General Electric is one of America's corporate giants and they must be betting that investing billions of dollars in the new boom of oil and gas drilling, or fracking, is worth the risk.
They appear to believe that cutting-edge science will improve profits for clients and reduce the environmental and health effects. Clearly they see big money in the investment.
