On May 28, 2013 at 11:27 AM CalFire responded to a structure fire in the 13000 block of Frausto in Burson.
CDF Units from Columbia air attack and tankers responded in addition to San Andreas, Valley Springs, Altaville, Copperopolis, West Point and the Vallecito hand crew.
Also responding were local units Calaveras Consolidated, including Jenny Lind and Foothill fire, San Andreas Fire, an East Bay MUD engine and the Mokelumne HIll water tender.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. A two story structure was fully involved when resources arrived. The fire extended into the surrounding wildland and burned 2 acres of brush type vegetation.
The estimated damage to the structure was not available at the time of this report. Estimated dollar damage to the burned vegetation was reported at $400.
The incident was closed at 4:26 PM.
