Amador County warns of possible Hepatitis in berry mix

   We received a press release from Amador County Offices warning residents about a Public Health
warning not to eat Townsend Farms Organic Antioxidant Blend of frozen berries sold through Costco stores, as they may be linked to a multistate outbreak of hepatitis.

   According to the press release, as of June 3, 2013 at least 34 cases are being invetigated nationwide with seven confirmed illnesses linked to the product in California. No cases have yet been reported in Amador County.
