A Calaveras Sheriff's deputy attempted to come to the assistance of a resident on Siegel Street in Valley Springs on Saturday October 12, 2013 around 10 AM.A large owl appeared to be trapped and tangled in a chain in the oak tree. A raptor rescue organization was called for assistance. We aren't sure of the outcome, but will try and find out.
