October 5, 2013: The Tuolumne County Rim Fire, which destroyed 257,135 acres or 402 square miles and has cost $127 million so far, is now 95% contained.11 residences, 3 commercial buildings and 98 outbuildings were also destroyed. According to USFS there is still a 1000 acre pocket where fire continues to burn.
