Angels Camp City Council meeting tonite Dec. 3, 2013 Kirby street on agenda again!!

December 3, 2013:  We just got a reminder as a comment that tonite is the Angels Camp City Council meeting. It starts at 6 PM after an hour of Closed Session litigation items.

Back on the agenda is the Kirby Street reconsideration.
As most of you know, the city accepted a dirt driveway in to the City in late September, 2013 at the request of Bob Menary.

At their last Council meeting Menary stated that he has legal access to Kirby Street but that another property owner has blocked him off.

Councilman Raggio questioned him as to where he has that right to Kirby in writing. Menary stated that it was somewhere at the city.

The other property owners got an attorney who came to the podium to object and requested the street be returned to the proper owner, who had never asked or approved of Menary's request.

What will happen tonite?  Will the same three friends of Menary vote to keep this dirt driveway in the City's streets? Talk about something rotten on Kirby street!

We encourage everyone who can to attend tonight's meeting. This is what the Angels Camp City Council is all about!! And something needs to be done about it!!! Do you CARE?

They tried to steal my land for their crooked sewer. This council is bad news! If we don't do something, nothing will change. Bunch of crooks!

I agree with all the others that the City has NO respect for property rights! They are supposed to represent us, not just the Ann Forrests of downtown!

Thanks to the Sierra Sentinel, we do find out some of the things really going on down there.

I have a feeling there will be some tricks up the council's sleeves in favor for Mr. Manery tongiht. All come and fight for your rights. Private proerty even in the city limits has got to be respected. The other thing I have noticed in the agendas is that the city has alot of quiet behind closed door litigations going on, Hhhhmmm?

You're right. Lynch wanted it moved into closed session to avoid the public. Will Raggio tell us if they talk about it? How honest is he? They are only allowed to discuss a lwsuit in closed session. Tricks is right.

What are you guys talking about. Does the City play the closed session game and make decisions away from the public in emails and stuff? Can we not trust them?

I hope the place is full. Its time these council people learn some respect for the voters. You're right about the Sentinel. That's why I follow it.

They did rescind their original decision on taking the so called named Kirby st. that is not a city street. It seems the city attorney mentioned that it was a "personal issue" with MANERY and the property owners. It is private property and did not take it from the folks who own it. They do have a PUE which they always did, access to pipes underground etc. if needed. I believe they did not want to get deeper involved with possible court, etc. Looks like MANERY did not get his friends favors. There is hope for us folks in the city of Angels. Please make the meetings and comment when asked for public comment, this is the only way we can get our town back.
