Rita "Reta" Rose Turner-Scarborough of West Point

 
On April 6, 2014 Rita Rose Turner-Scarborough of West Point passed away at her home with her family by her side.  She was 81.

   A native of Elm Creek, Nebraska, she attended Odessa Elementary and High School and attended college in San Francisco.

  Rita's hobbies and interests included bowling, crocheting, baking/cooking, card games, arts and crafts, sitting outside talking with neighbors, and spending time with family and grandkids.

    She loved family gatherings.   Rita had lived in West Point for 20 years and had been a property manager.

   She is survived by her husband Gerald Eugene Scarborough, daughters Janet (Mason), Cindy and Lavonne (Tommy), sons Randy and Chris; brothers Leon Turner and Robert Turner, 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

  Rita was predeceased by her mother Sarah Elizabeth Laycock and father Earl James Turner.

   The funeral service is today, April 10, 2014 at 11 AM at San Andreas Memorial Chapel.
