California Department of Fish and Wildlife is announcing that they are trying to stock as many rivers and lakes as possible before opening day of trout season on April 26, 2014. The drought has made this more difficult.Also, limited number (30 per day) of permits will be issued to hunt pig and deer opening weekend August 9, 10, 2014 in Merced County. This will be in the San Luis Reservoir and Cottonwood Creek areas. Call 826-0423 for more information.
