Motorcycle crash causes major injuries

On September 20, 2014 at around 4:15 PM, according to the CHP report, Norman Roberts (52) of Gilroy was traveling westbound on Hwy 108 in Twain Harte on his 2007 Harley Davidson at an unknown rate of speed.

Bradley Buenger (60) of Modesto was traveling eastbound on Hwy 108 in his 1998 Chevrolet at approximately 35 MPH.

Roberts allowed his motorcycle to travel across the solid double yellow lines and into the path of Buenger's vehicle.

Roberts applied his brakes and the motorcycle overturned onto its left side. Buenger attempted to avoid the collision by applying his brakes to the Chevrolet and swerving to the right.

Roberts was ejected from the motorcycle prior to it colliding with the front of the Chevrolet. The motorcycle continued straight and ran over Roberts.

Roberts was taken to the Outpost by Tuolumne County ambulance and was subsequently air-lifted to Memorial Hospital in Modesto with major injuries.

Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in this accident, per CHP.
