UPDATEat 4:35 PM: Air support is assisting in the attack on this fire. They have the fire contained at 2 to 3 acres at this time.
UPDATE: At 4 PM it was reported that the fire has a slow rate of spread. At 4:06 PM a water tender arrived at the scene.
September 10, 2014 at 3:45 PM: A grass fire has been reported on Gilliam Road near Double Springs Road in the Valley Springs area.
Fire is near one residence, but is nearly out, according to one report. Traffic is being stopped at Paloma Road for emergency vehicles.
