UPDATE: Now the evidence comes out that the CIA contracted a Washington state company called Mitchell, Jessen and Associates (psychologists) to develop the techniques at a cost of $180 million.
Their contract was cancelled in 2009, but they had already collected $81 million. This is the stuff our tax money goes for???
After watching Diane Feinstein on the CIA investigations of torture, it is perfectly clear that someone at the CIA was telling lies; and that the interrogation techniques used were ineffective
and more brutal than previously known.
Of course, ex-VP Cheney attempted to cover and defend the Bush administrations allowing of these techniques, but this report is perfectly clear. Most concerning of all is that the CIA told many lies apparently to cover it up.
However, Senator John McCain, who spent 5 years as a prisoner of war, says he can testify that brutal torture does NOT work to gain accurate information.
