Richard "Wayne" Dougherty of Arnold

Richard "Wayne" Dougherty was born September 21, 1966 in San Leandro. He passed away on November 25, 2014 early in the morning, suddenly.

When he was 6 he and his family moved to Washington state to a little town named Snohomish, where he graduated from high school.

When he was 26 he met his love of his life and married her August 27, 1994 in Snohomish, Washington.

They had their son Joe in 1996 and then their daughter in 1999. They lived in Washington until 2002 when they moved to Arnold.

Wayne had many friends and continued to help when the need arose. He was a loving husband, father and son.

Wayne loved sports of any kind and  playing games with his family and friends. He touched many peoples hearts with his love and giving.

Wayne was very proud of his son and he loved his family unconditionally.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents (Ken and Ruth Lovel), dad (Rev. Robert Dougherty), Uncle (Howard Dougherty) and Aunt (Pauline Dougherty), mother-in-law (Patricia Lefevers), brother-in-law (Brent Morgan), and daughter (Samantha Dougherty).

He is survived by his wife (Mary Dougherty), son (Joe Dougherty) mother (Carol Dougherty) father-in-law (Darel Lefevers) and sister (Marla Dougherty, Charlie Peacock), sister (Paula Dougherty), sisters and brothers by marriage, and aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews. Also dogs (Pickles, Chocolate and Cookie).

 My letter to my love:

I miss you every second of every day, you left us way too soon. Joe is a strong young man and we are so saddened that you will not be there for his high school graduation, college years and for his wedding and babies.

You would have been a wonderful Grandpa full of love for your family. I know that you are out of pain and playing cards with your grandparents, dad, my mom and you get to hold Samantha again.

That is what is keeping me going. Oh, my wonderful husband and best friend, I love you so, so much.

Your wife and best friend, Mary
