A Family Frog Jump Tradition

     Shana Heintz Nash grew up in Calaveras County. Her parents were very active in the community, her Dad a Booster (see photo, right) who assisted with the annual Frog Jump.

   Shana was active in FFA while in school. She eventually married Mike Nash and became part of the Calaveras Frog Jockeys.

   Mike Nash was the world champion in 2006 and her son Casey won the Frog Jump in 2014. Her daughter Rachel is following in her mom's footsteps and shows pigs with Bret Harte FFA.

   Shana serves on the Frog Jump Committee and like her father before her helps plan the annual event.
