Letter to the Editor: About Water

   Dear Editor:

Just a few months ago I heard a CCWD official state that there is plenty of water for the Castle and Cooke project called Sawmill.  Now we hear there is NO water!  Where is the truth?

I believe that the fact is that we have plenty of water for Calaveras, but not enough for the farmers and LA swimming pools via the tunnels.

What we really need is a giant pipeline from the East Coast, which is overwhelmed with water and snow, all the way across the US to California.

I mean instead of the stupid oil pipeline from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. So why doesn't anyone go after that idea?  Do we elect total idiots, or what?

Tired of the theft of Calaveras water, I sat and watched as Mr. Cliff Edson pushed through AB 142, calling it the new Mokelumne River Wild and Scenic Bill.

Are you kidding?  Do you actually believe that our Democrat controlled legislature in California is going to pass that, putting the W & S in a never ending committee?

Get real, Calaveras officials!  Stop lying to us and wasting our tax money. A Tea Party bill will never pass in California!
