Rim Fire Starter NOT paying for damage???

Lest we ever forget what one lawless
person can do to our forest!
The Stanislaus National Forest just released an announcement that it is holding forums this spring to figure out how to pay to reforest the Rim Fire area. 257,000 acres plus.

We sent them back an email asking why the hunter who is accused of starting the fire is not paying for it? There is something wrong here!  We have been told he isn't even in jail!

The first meeting is in Sonora on March 31, 2015 from 12:30 to 4:30 PM at the Sonora Oaks Motel and Conference Center at 19551 Hess.

On April 8, 2015 there is a Reforestation Workshop from 12:30 to 4:30 PM at the Tuolumne

County Emergency Operations Center at 18440 Striker Court (off Tuolumne Road) in Sonora.

On April 10, 2015 there will be a Reforestation Open House from 3 to 6 PM also at the Striker Road location.

The USFS is requesting you RSVP that you will be attending any or all of these meetings. Call Rebecca Garcia at 532-3671 ext. 244 or email rebeccagarcia@fs.fed.us
