More suicides possible due to Butte Fire devastation

At least one person is known to have committed suicide after the Butte Fire moved freely through Calaveras County, destroying his home.

Watching people beg for help at the Calaveras Supervisors meeting and on KCRA TV, leaves us fearing there could be more to come.

The Supervisors did NOTHING to help these people get into trailers on their land faster. The conditions some of them are living in is degrading, showing our elected officials to be incompetent and unfeeling.

How is the governments Fault a wild fire burnt down your home. The way I see it, if you get help GREAT but you should not expect anything. Pic up the pieces and start over. Perhaps move out of the area. If you have nothing it should be easy for you to pick up and MOVE Waiting for the government to write you a check seems welfare state. I personally would not want to live in a aera that will take years to rebuild. I would want to move some where and start that's not devastated and get on with my life. If you choose to stay then that's your choice! Your also choosing to deal with the red tape for possibly years to come.

Well, if you think about it logically, they paid taxes for years for firefighters.
Now it wasn't the guys in the field who failed, but shomewhere up the management line, they were not given the help they needed soon enough. If we pay taxes for it, they are somewhat responsible.

I heard there are 7 possible suicides already since the Butte Fire. Who will tell the truth about this travesty.
