It was a surprise to us that earlier this morning Representative Tom McClintock, who represents Calaveras County Tea Party in the House, voted for Paul Ryan to be Speaker. He said it quietly in a roll call vote and then looked up at the camera as if to see if anyone was watching. We were!
He went against the Freedom Caucus, the Tea Party portion, who was supporting Representative Webster. Perhaps McClintock is a closet moderate! Ryan was elected and Boehner cried all the way out the door!
