| If you live in bear country, you might want to bring it inside at night! They are hungry and a pumpkin would smell great! |
The Audubon Society says it can be made into a real feast for the local birds. Just cut it in half, as shown; make sure the seeds are scooped out (too big for most birds); insert sticks or small branches into the pumpkin to create perches; knot two ends of light rope or twine together and tack to the bottom of your pumpkin; hang it over a strong branch and enjoy the birds.
