A pickup drifted across the double yellow lines and directly into the path of a large school bus late October 22, 2015, Thursday afternoon, and struck it head-on.
The driver of the pickup was killed, and her daughter was taken to UC Davis with major injuries.
The school bus had no where to go and could not avoid the collision on the narrow roadway. No one in the school bus was seriously injuried. Hwy 20 near Smartsville in Yuba County was completely closed for hours.
