Per CHP on December 14, 2015 at 6:40 AM Rita K. Linker (46) of Altaville was driving a 2006 Toyota northbound on Hwy 49 near Fourth Crossing at approximately 55 MPH.
Linker was traveling at an unsafe speed in the Toyota for roadway conditions. Due to her unsafe speed she was unable to negotiate the turn in the roadway.
Consequently, the Toyota left the roadway and the right side of the vehicle collided with a bridge rail.
The impact the Toyota received from the guard rail caused Linker to lose control of the Toyota, which crossed the southbound lane and entered the west shoulder where it collided with a wire fence.
After the collision with the fence, the Toyota continued in motion and collided with a power pole.
Linker sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mark Twain Hospital.
