According to the CHP report, David Williams (44) of Railroad Flat was driving a 1990 Dodge Dakota eastbound on Railroad Flat Road west of Buchanan Way at an unknown speed.
Evelyn King (58) of Railroad Flat was driving her 2000 Chevy Blazer westbound on Railroad Flat Road east of Buchanan Way at 30 MPH.
For an unknown reason, Williams allowed his vehicle to cross over the solid double yellow lines and into the westbound lane.
Kings observed the Dodge come into her lane and slowed her vehicle to approximately 5 MPH and turned her vehicle to the right.
The Dodge collided with the Chevy just east of the intersection of Railroad Flat Road and Buchanan Way, blocking the westbound lane of Railroad Flat Road.
Williams was transported to Mercy San Juan Hospital with major injuries. King was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with moderate injuries and her passenger Robert Simon (52) of Railroad Flat was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries.
Per CHP alcohol and or drugs were not a factor in this collision.
