On December 31, 2015 around 6 PM Terry Lee Novak (53) of Valley Springs was driving a 2001 Chevrolet on Hwy 26 east of Yeaton Lane at a stated speed of 55 MPH.
For unknown reasons, Novak made an unsafe turning movement and ran off the roadway and down the eastbound ditch/embankment, where the Chevy overturned onto its roof.
Ms. Novak was transported to Mark Twain Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Alcohol or drugs were not a factor in this collision.
