Clear-cutting and Edsons watershed removal worsens drought?

We read a study done by the Department of Agriculture that shows removal of trees and shrubs in a watershed area using Calaveras County Supervisor Edson's RCD or CalFire destructive policies, only worsens drought conditions.

It reports that although it may create massive runoff for southern California, in the long run removal of watershed (what they call watershed management) will decimate our forests even more quickly than normal global warming.

Seems Mr. Edson doesn't know anything about the Pine Beetle infestation within Calaveras County. He just wants to create more government sponsored public land jobs in Calaveras County. Has a study been done on the infestation problem on private property? Has anybody looked at the financial ramifications to the county? How much is the county's administration fee cut?

Edson is such a bully and creep that he doesn't care about what the people want or how much we have to pay.
