Dr. Dale "Doc" Paar of Wilseyville

      Dr. Dale Miller Paar, more commonly known as Doc, was born August 20, 1952 in Springfield, Missouri.

   In 1970 he joined the
US Navy and was a Navy Corpsman, stationed with the Marines in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1973.

   After his military service Doc went on to receive a Bachelors in Science degree, a Masters in Science degree and received his Ph.D. in Computer Science.

   He worked extensively in the computer industry, for companies such as Synopsis, Inc., Fujitsu Microelectronics, SunSoft, Inc and Intergraph Corporation.

   At one point in his life he also worked as a commercial artist, a private detective, owned a pet store and built truck frames for Dana, Inc. in Stockton.

   At the time of his death he owned and operated Pioneer Creek Leather, a motorcycle leather store, which helped feed into his passion for motorcycles and charitable works with the Top Hatters Motorcycle Club.

   On August 18, 1984 he married Nancy Parr. The moved to Calaveras County in 1989 and absolutely loved the area.

   Doc is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nancy and also their three children; William Paar, Lea-Marie Paar and Steven Paar; grandchildren Liam Paar, Hayden Paar and Ruby Paar.

   Doc passed away with his wife by his side on March 2, 2016 at their dream home in Wilseyville.

   A Celebration of Live will be held for Doc on March 13, 2016 at the Metropolitan in San Andreas from 1 to 4 PM at 59 Main Street.

   San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
