Calaveras Supervisors make deal/ stop marijuana grows at around 200!

    UPDATE:  Oooops!  No Deal!

April 12, 2016:  It has been estimated that around 200 marijuana farmers are growing in Calaveras County, making millions selling around the state and even to other states.

It is a big business, with no taxes, no Workers Comp
costs or other expenses or regulations normal businesses deal with. Calaveras Supervisors are encouraging this by putting off any regulations for over a year.

Calaveras County Supervisors today will vote today on a deal they seem to have made with the Calaveras Cannabis Alliance to put a ban on future new farms.

What does this do?  It protects the current farmers from competition from new people buying land and causing prices to go down.  It is expected that Supervisors will approve this deal!

The wholesale price in the past 4 years has been cut in half already due to more grows in the state.
