Speed causes major injuries

Per the CHP report on November 20, Nicole Brennecke (19) of Sonora was traveling eastbound on Hwy 120 went of Green Springs Road in Jamestown at a high rate of speed.

Brennecke attempted to negotiate a right curve in the roadway, but due to her high rate of speed, she lost control of her 2006 Ford Focus.

The Ford exited the right side of the roadway and traveled up a small embankment, then became airborne and flew over a wire fence.

The front of Brennecke's Ford struck the ground and the vehicle overturned, end over end. Brennecke was assisted out of her vehicle by passing motorists.

She was flown to Memorial Medical Center with major head and neck injuries.
